The network of ‘Rossendale Community Directory’ site provides community information to people across Rossendale.
That includes details of not-for-profit organisations, public services and community groups. The sites have space to promote activities on a calendar of events and also offer a news area that can be used to promote messages of relevance to local groups.
The landscape of community services and activities is constantly changing. We aim to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date account of not-for-profit services in your local area.
Services
Our website is, at its heart, a directory of hundreds of ‘not-for-profit’ groups, organisations and public services provided for the benefit of Rossendale citizens. Large or small, unconstituted or formally structured, you will find a wide range of services and local causes represented. You can search By category, in the A-Z list, using a relevant keyword or by location using your postcode.
Events
A calendar of thousands of events from in and around your local area. Not just one-off events but meetings and activities that run on a regular basis. Type a keyword into the calendar to see what is available or browse through the calendar to see what is going on on a particular date. You can now filter events on the calendar to show activities in your local area or on a particular topic.
News
Find out what is happening in local organisations in your local area. Let us promote the activities you are involved in. Follow us on social media and follow our news feed to keep in touch with what is going on.
We add news items to our website that are sent to us from community groups and organisations. These can include details of new services, job vacancies, volunteering opportunities and events that are coming up soon. They are automatically pushed out to our social media channels.
Where possible, we also re-post the content that groups and organisations add to their websites to help promote and publicise their activities.
Resource Areas
Every area website is able to feature special resource areas which show up on the homepage as large, feature buttons. These resource areas are groups of pages on a particular, related topic, or for a specific purpose. Examples of these include ‘Volunteering In Your Area’ or ‘Care Navigation’.
