Community Contacts
‘Community Contacts’ contact groups and organisations to; check the details we hold for them are correct, let them know about the free community services we offer and find out if there is anything else we can do to promote their activities and services. Volunteers can offer a minimum of 2 hours per week and do not need technical skills as any changes can be sent in to be updated.
Community Updaters
Our ‘Community Updaters’ are the engine room of our community website. Usually unseen but never taken-for-granted, they make sure that our directory of services and events calendar are updated as soon as new information is identified. This essential role is an ideal opportunity to make a real difference and develop workplace administrative skills and experience.
Community Correspondents
‘Community Correspondents’ are our representatives in their local community. They attend the events and activities of local services and report back on the positive experiences they find there. This is a great way for people who are interested in what is going on in their area, or who want to gain experience working with community groups, to engage with a broad range of activities and services.
Social Media Gurus
Do you use social media channels for your own personal use? Do you want to develop skills and knowledge to use them in a professional context? Sharing and communicating community information is a big thing for us and we want your help to best use the tools out there to promote community information. Don’t worry, you don’t need to know all the answers already! But if you are enthusiastic about this mission, join us and we will support you and work together to get the best from the technology available.
