Weir Pride is a community organisation established in the village of Weir to help improve the village and to encourage the community to take pride in the area.

We do this by holding community activities including clean ups, bulb planting, painting bus shelters, encouraging people to clean up after dogs and not drop litter. We also have lone ranger members who litter pick independently.

As a group we attend meetings to represent the village, work with the local school and also arrange social activities including theatre visits, a quiz night and an afternoon out.

Anyone from the village is welcome to join our group and monthly meetings are held at the Doals Centre on Burnley Road to plan action. These are followed by cleaning, planting or painting, as required.
