Rossendale District Scout Association offers everyday adventure and activity to almost 400,000 young people across the UK, and is the largest co-educational youth organisation in the world. Surrounded by the Pennines and West Pennine Moors, Rossendale has eight very active Scout groups, where adventure and fun come to life in various towns and villages throughout the Valley.
There are active Beaver, Cubs, Scout and Explorer sections with the District, and a Network section is run in co-operation with the County.
Scouting in Rossendale is part of East Lancashire County Scout Council, which provides the activities and adventure provided by the Scout Association.
