Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society – Rossendale

Return to list of services

The Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society can help you research your Lancashire ancestors.

In 1973 the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society was founded as the Rossendale Society for Genealogy and Heraldry, with meetings at Bury and Rawtenstall.

When the Society adopted its present title on 1 January 1985, it was decided that the Rawtenstall group would become the Rossendale branch. We cover all the areas administered by the present Rossendale Borough Council: Bacup; Edenfield; Haslingden; Rawtenstall and Whitworth.

We meet at Longholme Methodist Church, Rawtenstall, at 7.30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
