The Deerplay Rest Home was opened on January 24th 1997 by the current owner as a residential care home for 15 elderly service users. The home is situated off Burnley Road in Weir on Heald Lane Bacup.

All rooms are single, 13 are en suite, 5 have own separate lounges.

The Deerplay Rest Home is run by the owner and his excellent care team and offers 24 hour care. There are a minimum of two staff members per shift day and night. Most staff have the minimum NVQ2 training in care, most have level 3 in NVQ Health and Social Care.

Staff regularly update their training which allows them to deliver excellent care to our service users (Residents) The care staff are also continually being trained to minimise risks to the service user and to themselves.

On entering the home after an assessment by the manager, a care plan will be set up to pinpoint any care and attention required by the service user.  Service users are able to furnish their rooms with their own furniture otherwise rooms are fully furnished by the home.

Service users are able to go to bed and get up when they want to we do not have a strict routine.  All food is wholesome, appetising and made from fresh produce by our excellent cook.

Out aim is to ensure all service users are treated equally and with dignity, respect and the utmost privacy when required and their well being is our main priority.
