Acre Mill Baptist Church is a lively, community centred, evangelical Baptist church with many links into its immediate neighbourhood.
We seek to be a place of inclusive and enthusiastic worship – a place where we meet together in Christian fellowship to seek and be led by God.
Our aim is to share the love of Jesus in the community where we are and further afield, as we follow the lead of our Lord to be salt and light in the world.
Many opportunities are provided to meet during the week in addition to our services on Sunday.
Acre Mill Baptist Church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. We belong to the North West Baptist Association, a family of over 200 Baptist and Independent Methodist Churches in the North West of England and North Wales.
The church was founded in 1871 as a Sunday School Chapel by Zion Baptist Church, Bacup and became independent in 1889. The church was extensively remodeled in the 1990’s as a multi-purpose building. It is accessible by wheelchair from the lower car park and there is a toilet with wheelchair access. A hearing loop system is installed.
