There are a range of Community based courses available from ACCROSS at the Waterside Centre.  ACCROSS at the Waterside Centre are dedicated to supporting people in the community who are unemployed and actively seeking to get back into work.

At Accrington and Rossendale College we pride ourselves in our ability to equip our learners with the qualifications, skills and knowledge required to prepare our learners for employment, whilst developing their potential and confidence.  Our vocationally relevant and personal development courses offer a wide variety of skills for learners looking to expand their skillset to advance their career, boost their confidence or give themselves a great foundation for further study or work opportunities.

We have a wide range of courses to suit all abilities and interests, which include a variety of industry sector areas. All courses are fully accredited, which means you will gain a qualification to add to your CV.

A range of both Level 1 and 2 Certificates and Awards are available.  For more information about specific courses and where they are being held, please contact the college.

Courses available include health care related subjects such as Health and Social Care, Adult Care, Child Care, Customer Service,  Advice and Guidance, Mentoring, First Aid and Health and Safety related topics, with progression opportunities up to level three.

These courses are designed to provide you with the skills you need to secure employment, progress in your career or expand your responsibilities and qualifications.

Accrington & Rossendale College are also interested in working in partnership with local community organisations that are looking to host training programs at their own venue.
