b:friend is a charity that pairs volunteer befrienders with socially isolated people over 65. Our volunteers commit to visit once a week for a cuppa and a chat. There is no charge and it is open ended, with the aim being a friendship that develops between the volunteer and the older neighbour. Referrals can be made via the encrypted website www.letsbfriend.org.uk and is an open referral service, so can be made by family, friends, self referrals or health and social care professionals.
