Bacup Learning Event

Bacup Learning Event

Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS undertook consultation in Bacup at the A B and D Centre. The outcomes of the consultation were clear; many people made suggestions that they were very interested in a range of learning courses and keep fit classes. Therefore BPRCVS are bringing the Bacup Learning Event to the A B and D Centre, Burnley Road, Bacup on Thursday 25th April 2019 and it will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. It’s a completely free event to attend and anybody interested in learning and developing new skills is encouraged to come along. No appointments are necessary, simply drop in anytime.

The Bacup Learning Event is a learning taster day where Rossendale residents can come along and find out what fantastic training courses are available. The event consists of a number of local Rossendale organisations who deliver a variety of exciting, informative courses. So far we’ve confirmed the attendance of Lancashire Adult Learning, Accrington and Rossendale College, Ekah Foundation, East Lancashire Recovery College from Stubbylee Greenhouses, and Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS. We’re also hoping to see Bacup Now, Rossendale Borough Council’s Communities Team, Rossendale Leisure Trust, and The Horse and Bamboo Theatre at the Bacup Learning Event.

Every organisation at the event will have a display stand full of a wealth of information about their current courses. Lancashire Adult Learning is even providing a demonstration of microwave cooking with some free food samples to try.

The Bacup Learning Event is open to the general public, volunteers, trustees as well as community groups and voluntary organisations. The event has been designed to cater for everybody. With courses for individuals to learn new skills and develop existing ones to help with future employment and education or courses aimed at community groups and voluntary organisations to help with funding bids, marketing, safeguarding, social media and so much more there’s something for everyone.

Come and speak to members of each organisation for even more information. See something you like and book yourself a place right then and there. Learn. Develop. Grow.

The Bacup Learning Event is the perfect opportunity to answer any questions you may have about taking a course and learning through one of these organisations. Find out if the course if nationally recognised, fully accredited or if it opens the door to further courses. Speak to the advisors and coordinators to see if the course you’re interested in is suitable for you or if it is recommended to take another course prior to the one you’re interested in. The friendly course advisors and coordinators will be more than happy to help with any queries.
