Arunachala Mountain Retreat – India, October 2018
The Sri Ramana Devi Organisation, a charity based in Rossendale is organising a retreat in South India for October 2018.
Heavily subsidised by the charity, the retreat is a once in a lifetime opportunity for people to experience the spiritual delights that India has to offer the colours, the smells, the sights and the sounds… The organisation are especially keen to attract people who might not normally consider that such an experience would be available to them, or who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
Arunachala Mountain is one of the most Holy Sites in all of India, attracting thousands of pilgrims every year from all over the world. Legend has it that even the sight of the mountain can bring one close to enlightenment!
The retreat runs for two weeks, from 7th – 21st October 2018. It is being offered at a cost of £200, inclusive of accommodation, all meals and a full retreat calendar of daily classes, workshops and activities. (Some excursions may require small taxi fares). Flights, visas and transfers are the responsibility of individual participants though we can help and advise with all of these.
The retreat schedule will include Practices to aid Self Realisation including Yoga, Meditation, study of Scriptures, Music, dancing, courses of learning, Natural Ecology, Mountain walks, work with children and animals, Cakra and Kundalini work, Self Development, Art and Creativity. It will be a full, light and Intense time with an abundance of Divine Love!
Accomodation will be in very simple, authentic style, in an Ashram that we have hired, right on the slopes of the mountain!
